• This book it great if you are interested in paying .99 cents to read the look inside for the all the books mentioned with a sales pitch at the end of each section encouraging you to purchase the actual book. This book is not a compilation of the works shown on the cover. Most of those works are about 200 pages long. This book is nothing more than a cleverly designed 60 page long sales gimmick. Save yourself the .99 cents and just read the look inside for each book as it is exactly the same information.
• This doesn't have much of anything to it... Based on the writing and use of space I'm guessing this was written for a very young audience. There's really not a lot to this book whatsoever, to the point that I'm given the impression this was a lazy, desperate cash-grab and a lot of this seems to be some basic phrases (with various degrees of effort) to describe a number of scenarios, mostly covering violence (5-10 examples for most entries). The back has some actual thesaurus entries, but there's nothing that a good thesaurus couldn't cover. I'd also like to point out that a shocking amount of this title is advertising for his other works. I get this is a sampler, but based on this sampler I don't think I'd ever buy one of his other books. So do yourself a favor, buy a thesaurus, it'll do virtually everything this book ever could and far more. )
• This just saved my writing! I'm not fond of writing action scenes and it was showing in my new book I'm writing. When an author starts to hate a book & their characters because they have reached their limits trying to make it work well? That book is in trouble! I'm so glad I have this book & new tools to use to help me develope stronger action scenes for my books!

• I am so so sooooo grateful to have found your book! There is so much information in there and such perfectly described details that I couldn't find anywhere else. For my novel, I needed to describe a strangulation but how could I do that if I had never been strangled. The same with the beautiful disgusting descriptions of guts and gore that I needed, having not witness a gunshot or a beheading before. The weapons have been so useful, all in one place. This book is worth so much more than you charge. Thank you so much for writing it!
• This is an excellent tool that I don't want other scribes to have access to. I think the bad reviews are being posted by people who are under the impression that there's a book out there that will write their book for them... Sorry that doesn't exist. You use tools like this to keep the ball rolling and it takes off from there.

• yes it was only .99 cents. but hardly anything I could not have looked up online myself. I have already seen many of these same things in a google search. I had better luck on pinterest looking for how to properly write phrases. ugh. sorry guy but it was not as helpful as I had hoped.
• Really great book for writers. I found plenty of sentences that I would use but also some that i would never ever use. Just because they are in this book does not mean it should be used at all. I found some to be ridiculous but still it gives many choices to choose from and also to dice and make your own. One that I liked is, "Theirs was a mutual attraction, and a mutual destruction."
• I have been checking out this book for some time. Being a writer I knew this would add to my resources. But the price was $20, I did not want to spend that much money. And then a shorter version came out cheaper, done deal. I get all the resources at half the cost. Yes this exceeded my expectations. Of course never let's you down.
